Kasab was caught on 26/11 around 11 pm by the famous sacrifice of our police thukaram omble. in the case filed against him he has been booked for killing 9 people directly,and 166 counts of murder of direct or indirect involement in murdering,waging war against country etc... etc...
according to the intelligence sources the information being extracted from him was over by 28th of december. so from then on his survivance at the cost of tax payers money is really hefty.
the cost for him to keep alive by giving security costs us whopping Rs 1.3 crores a day as he is been provided with 600 NSG commandos security.(not even for PM or President or none untill today has been provided this kind of security)
the last time he appeared in the court was wearing a t-shirt,jeans with perfume(and surely he must be liking the indian life as he is been treated like a guest a given chicken biryani twice a day(after convincing him)as he refused to take food for initial 7 days)
untill today(april 24th) cost for keeping him in jail after information extraction is completed is calculated below
3 days in december + 31 days of january and march each + 28 days of february + 24 days of april is
117*1.3 crores = 152.1 crores only
and court proceedings and investigation and chargesheet charges cost a extra around 30 crores so
the total cost spent on him untill today is a meagre 182.1 crores of tax payers money.
the muslim lawyer with muslim judge and muslim votebank oriented congress party is playing politics in even these kind of issues.
According to the public prosecutor Ujjwal with this kind of progress in the case it can take upto 10 yrs or more for judgement to come in the lower court and then appeal to high court then supreme court and finally mercy petition for president if he is found to be 18 + yrs of age. if not will be released after 3 yrs as a kid.
thanks for the congress led upa government and pseudo secular parties of india in revoking the POTA(prevension of terrorist act) which had the provision to punish a terrorist irrespective of his facts.
and most importantly the present laws in the country cannot hold kasab responsibility for his act because the terrorists statement to police under interrogation cannot be considerd as proofs
